The Aspiring Medics
Yusuf Ben-Tarifite and Yasmin Baker
The Aspiring Medics is an online platform that empowers students, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds, pursuing medical careers through online video courses and AI. Their mission is to democratise the medicine application process. The platform also fosters a supportive community, encouraging collaboration and mentorship.
Founder, Oxford graduate and resident doctor Yusuf is committed to widening participation for state school students, while Yasmin, a 5th-year Medical Student at Imperial College London brings her management expertise to the initiative.
